SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, 2020 – IGEL, provider of the next-gen edge OS for cloud workspaces, today announced that it was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Corporate Overview Video category in The 18th Annual American Business Awards® for its production of the company documentary video, “BELIEVE: The Story of IGEL Technology.”
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be virtually presented to winners during a live event on Wednesday, August 5. Tickets for the virtual event are now on sale.
More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories and more than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Comments from the judges on the IGEL entry include:
“Strong and well-crafted video which gives an insight on the history, development, and future of IGEL. Interesting, educational, and inspirational.”
“A true documentarian, storytelling approach to telling the story of a company (of all things). Really impressive production values from the interviews to the B-roll and the integration of the massive amounts of RAW assets available to the filmmakers.”
The “BELIEVE: The Story of IGEL Technology” video outlines the unique transformation of IGEL in an industry where technology companies barely survive five years. It showcases how a small upstart German hardware company has evolved over 20 years to become a leading innovator of software for cloud workspaces.
“It was a remarkable journey to tell IGEL’s astonishing success story in this inspirational documentary,” said Ron Bowman, director of the film and vice president of digital, at IGEL. “It’s truly a unique tale of ingenuity and persistence and I’m thrilled that it’s been recognized as a ‘Gold’ submission by the esteemed panel of Stevie Award judges.”
“Despite the toughest business conditions in memory, American organizations continue to demonstrate their commitment to innovation, creativity, and bottom-line results,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. “This year’s Stevie-winning nominations are full of inspiring stories of persistence, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and compassion. We celebrate all of their stories and look forward to showcasing them during our virtual awards ceremony on August 5.”
