IGEL, a world leader in endpoint security and optimization software for the secure enterprise, is demonstrating a range of new solutions at Cisco Live, in conjunction with partners Cisco, Citrix, Samsung, VMWare and Imprivata. A collaboration between these prominent vendors will offer a true, end-to-end solution for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) deployments. Ingram Micro will be powering the solution, offering resellers and end-users a wide variety of flexible solutions for virtual deployments.
The company’s collaboration with Samsung will continue to see class-leading monitors, including space-saving all-in-one displays, coupled with IGEL’s Thin and Zero client hardware.
IGEL will also be discussing a world-first at Cisco Live, with technicians now able to run Cisco VXME, as well as Jabber and Spark, on IGEL OS™ managed end points. While the solution is not yet ready for market, it demonstrates the versatility of IGEL as an end-point management solution and will offer partners a fantastic EUC platform. This solution will offer partners and end-users a hardware-independent option for virtual deployments.
As will be demonstrated at the IGEL booth, the company will be first to market with an integrated deployment of Blast Extreme from VMWare, as well as first to market with the latest optimisation pack on Skype for Business.
Imprivata’s Single Sign-On solutions will also be on display at the stand, demonstrating the benefits of a simplified application log in and log out process, achieved by automating username and password entry for authenticated users. This solution has proven its value in healthcare environments around the world. The integration of Imprivata OneSign into IGEL firmware benefits healthcare providers by bringing them an optimised combination of increased productivity and decreased IT costs.
IGEL recently announced the introduction of the IGEL UD Pocket, a flexible and cost-effective out-of-the-box micro endpoint solution that is designed to improve the security of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiatives in organisations with remote or mobile workforces.
The company also last week revealed the IGEL Cloud Gateway, which operates as an encrypted virtual tunnel, replacing costly VPN solutions to seamlessly authenticate communication between the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) and any x86-based device converted into an IGEL-powered endpoint with the IGEL Universal Desktop Converter (UDC), the IGEL UD Pocket and IGEL Management Agent for Windows.
Visitors to the stall will have an opportunity to participate in IGEL’s global competition to win a Tesla P100D, the world’s fastest, smartest and cleanest software-defined car. Interested parties can fill out a short survey at the event for their chance to win.
IGEL’s continued focus on providing a simple, stable and hassle-free operating environment for virtual desktop infrastructure has resulted in a sharp increase in sales and revenue across Australia and New Zealand, with local figures doubling in 2016.
