VMworld 2021 is upon us and IGEL is set to spark your imagination on the ways in which you can navigate the “new normal” in this work from anywhere era with innovative solutions for cloud workspaces. As a Gold sponsor of this year’s event, which has the theme “Imagine That” and runs October 5 – 7, IGEL will be hosting a virtual Demo Zone booth, holding a breakout session and so much more.
Demo Zone Production
IGEL will be prominently featured in the VMworld Demo Zone with a virtual booth. From the virtual IGEL booth, you can also download valuable resources or chat directly with an IGEL expert on the different ways you can employ “Security on the Edge with IGEL.”
Breakout Session: Are we there yet?
IGEL will also be delivering a featured presentation during this year’s VMworld 2021 event which will include IGEL technology expert presentations, customer interviews and a demo of the integration of IGEL and VMware Anywhere Workspace.
The session “Are we there yet? Navigating the unmapped ‘New Normal’ with VMware and IGEL” will cover the following key elements of using IGEL OS with VMware to address the changing world of work. Presented by IGEL’s Carl Gersh, Vice President of Marketing North America; Dan O’Farrell, Senior Director, Product Marketing; and Ben Ward, Senior PreSales Engineer, details of the breakout presentation include:
Just when it seemed we were about to arrive at the post-pandemic world we were longing for, the Delta variant arrived. With many communities now being hit hard by a third wave of COVID infections, hospitalizations, and unfortunately deaths, organizations need to yet again fall back on a mid-pandemic way of work, with most people working entirely from home. Those companies who were already embracing digital workspaces in the form of virtualized desktops, apps, and cloud-delivered workloads were able to fare much better than those who did not, and the current state of uncertainty once again illuminates the importance of taking full advantage of the cloud. Or in many cases, multiple clouds.
VMware has pioneered the delivery of secure, reliable, high-fidelity user experiences by leveraging virtualization within a multi-cloud architecture. IGEL has worked with VMware for the past two decades to make IGEL OS, the next-gen edge OS for cloud workspaces, fully compatible and complementary with VMware Horizon. Together, VMware Horizon and IGEL OS represent an ideal combination for enabling secure, easy access to digital workspaces for the widely distributed workforce. Moreover, Horizon and IGEL OS offer IT organizations full management and control of end-user digital workspace sessions from the end-user to their desired desktop, application, or clouds, as well as their endpoint devices. And that management and control extends to users working from home on their desired devices of choice, or anywhere else.
This VMworld session hosted by IGEL will explore “what’s next” in terms of:
• how and where people will continue with their work
• how to take full advantage digital workspaces within the multi-cloud world
• how to effectively build and execute on disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• how embracing digital workspaces can help protect an organization from ransomware and other forms of malware
• and how to keep widely distributed workforces productive and happy while retaining full IT management and control of end-users and their devices.
In addition to the above, attendees will also hear from a customer describing their implementation of a joint VMware Horizon/IGEL OS solution and how it benefited them, as well as a demonstration highlighting the ease of integrating Microsoft Teams optimization within a Horizon/IGEL OS environment.
Don’t Miss Your Chance to Win!
VMworld 2021 attendees who visit the virtual IGEL booth and either download a resource or begin a live chat with an IGEL representative will be entered for a chance to win an Oculus Quest 2 Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset – 256 GB. It’s a great way to further inspire your imagination.
