IGEL Announces DISRUPT End User Computing Forum 2018

Event Brings Together Key Thought Leaders and Experts to Address Today’s End User Computing Challenges

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 19, 2017 – IGEL, a world leader in endpoint security and optimization software for the secure enterprise, today announced the DISRUPT End User Computing Forum 2018. To be held February 6-8 in Austin, Texas, the inaugural event will bring together key industry thought leaders, customers and solution providers to discuss the latest innovations in end user computing (EUC) and workspace management, including solution demonstrations and technical trainings. Event registration is open now.

“By 2020, we’ll see over 50 billion connected devices and this is bringing massive transformation for the EUC market as organization face rising endpoint challenges. From the migration to Windows 10 to endpoint security demands and the need to simplify device management while lowering computing costs, end user computing is fast becoming a top IT priority,” said Jed Ayres, President and CEO, IGEL North America.  “Our DISRUPT event will be addressing these EUC challenges and more. Featuring top industry thought leaders, customer best practices sessions and deep dive trainings, it will be at the center of the voice for EUC disruption in 2018.”

DISRUPT 2018 will feature speakers including Sumit Dhawan, Senior Vice President and General Manager for VMware; Doug Keeley, CEO & Chief Storyteller for Mark of a Leader; and Eva Helen, Founder and CEO for EQ Inspiration. It will also include presentations from EUC thought leaders Brian Madden, Independent Consultant; John Abbott, Co-Founder and VP Infrastructure at 451 Research; and Doug Brown, Global Technologist for IGEL and Editor of DABCC as well as customer presentations from leading corporations including Lockton Companies, Centene Corporation, Diversicare Healthcare Services Inc. and Strayer University.

“Virtualization and cloud services have empowered users with dynamic and flexible computing alternatives, opening up a new world of possibilities in the ‘user centric’ evolution of IT,” said John Abbott, co-founder and VP Infrastructure at 451 Research, and featured presenter at the North American DISRUPT event. “The DISRUPT EUC Forum is an opportunity to catch up with what’s new and what’s in store in this rapidly changing market, and to discuss how best to address many pressing end user computing challenges.”

“Among the factors disrupting the EUC market is the influx of IoT in the enterprise,” said Brian Madden, a featured presenter at the North American DISRUPT Event. “I’m pleased to be part of an impressive line-up of speakers at the DISRUPT EUC Forum as we each present our view into the changing shape of EUC including what today’s enterprise desktop administrators need to know about IoT.”

For those looking to be trained and certified to use IGEL solutions such as the IGEL UD PocketTM, IGEL Cloud GatewayTM and the IGEL Universal Management SuiteTM, there will also be Technical Boot Camp sessions. View the full DISRUPT agenda here.
