IGEL’s Jed Ayres Earns a Spot on CRN’s 2018 List of Top 100 Executives

Since 2016, Ayres has been honored by CRN for the integral role he plays in shaping the future of the IT channel; for the second year in a row, he is featured on the prestigious list among the industry’s top 25 “disrupters”

San Francisco, Aug. 1, 2018 – IGEL,a world leader in endpoint security and optimization software for the secure enterprise, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Jed Ayres, President and CEO of IGEL North America and Global CMO to its list of Top 100 Executives. This annual list recognizes leaders from the technology industry who have played an integral role in shaping today’s IT channel, whether by driving huge cultural shifts, creating rich new opportunities, or forging innovative routes to success. Ayres was named one of CRN’s Top 25 “Disrupters” as part of the 2018 ranking. This is his third year in a row to be featured on CRN’s prestigious list of Top 100 Executives.

Ayres joined IGEL in June 2016 with more than two decades of technology sales and marketing experience and a proven track record for building innovative partner programs and driving high-growth. His experience includes MCPc where he drove double digit growth in preparation and sale of the company’s Advanced Technology Integration Group (ATIG) to Logicalis, and AppSense where he helped drive the company’s return to growth prior to its acquisition by LANDESK, now Ivanti.

Over the last two years, he has become widely recognized for the transformational impact he is making on the end user computing industry, as well as his innovative approach to pivoting the IGEL company direction from a hardware-centric company to a software driven organization. Using bold and captivating marketing campaigns – including the giveaway of a Tesla P100D, the launch of a three-continent industry event, “Disrupt EUC,” and the “IT Baller” contest – IGEL has grown rapidly, and earlier this year reported that U.S. software license revenue increased by 589% in 2017. Further, IGEL was recognized in May 2018 as the fastest growing endpoint provider in the U.S., according to the IDC Quarterly Enterprise Device Tracker 2017Q4.1

“The successful transformation of IGEL could not have happened without Jed’s insightful and creative approach,” said Heiko Gloge, Founder and CEO, IGEL. “He is incredibly gifted in his ability to make what at first seems impossible, come to fruition in a meaningful and impactful way. He is an inspiration to me, to our employees, our partners and our customers, and to the IT channel as a whole. I can’t think of anyone who is more deserving of the title “disrupter.”

Travis Graham, Partner, Alchemy Tech Group, added, “We are tremendously grateful to Jed and IGEL for all they do to support us in growing our business. IGEL’s software-defined approach helps us to differentiate ourselves from the competition because we are able to present to our customers a smart, simple and secure endpoint security and optimization solution that enables them to more effectively leverage existing IT resources. With IGEL, our pipeline of opportunity is growing, and we are looking forward to reaching new heights in 2018.”

“Visionary and strategic leadership can make the difference between just surviving and actually excelling in this period of disruptive change for the IT channel,” said Bob Skelley, CEO, The Channel Company. “In order for technology suppliers and solution providers to thrive and stay ahead of the competition, they need leaders who are able to envision both the future of the channel and the role their organization needs to play in order to create that reality. CRN’s 2018 Top 100 Executives embody these qualities. They are change agents who deliver unwavering guidance to their companies, always asking where are we headed and not being afraid to take the necessary steps to get there.”

The Top 100 Executives list will be featured in the August 2018 issue of CRN and online at www.crn.com/top100.
